RHS Hampton Court Flower Show Silver medal joy!

To top off the joy this week of the England Football team's performance at the World Cup, we are delighted that our Heritage Shed and allotment garden is on a winning streak of its own and was awarded a Silver Medal at the World's Largest Flower Show - Hampton Court Flower Show.

The SHEDx project made its appearance at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show as part of the Flower and Vegetable Box section. The Shed complete with oral histories from local allotment holders playing inside was sited on a replica allotment featuring classic vegetables from WW2.

We are incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers who have contributed so far to this project - including those that have shared their oral histories and the team that recorded them, the groups that built the shed, designed and planted the garden, donated plants and all the individuals involved in the the almost constant watering required the keep the allotment in tip top shape! Our Silver medal is a great tribute to all involved who can now say that they have won and RHS medal.

Once the shed leaves the flower show it will next make its appearance at the Garden Museum at Lambeth Palace.
