TWO YEARS SINCE LOCKDOWN
Wednesday March 23rd marks two years since the UK Government introduced the first ‘Lockdown’ of the COVID-19 Pandemic. We want to collect people’s memories and reflections of that time to create a piece of public art and a lasting reminder. It has been a time of pain for many, but has also revealed the amazing spirit and kindness of people. Your reflections on this time will be individual and personal but collectively we will build a sense of how the Kingston community has lived through this time.
You can leave your memories with a pseudonym or with your real name – it’s up to you – but in contributing you are giving permission for your words to be used in the art that is created.
This project is a partnership with Kingston Voluntary Action, Volunteering Kingston, Kingston School of Art, Kingston Council and other local agencies and organisations.
