Tolworth Day: Celebrating Tolworth Court Farm | Part of the Mayor of London's National Park City

Thank you to everyone who came along to Tolworth Day: Celebrating Tolworth Court Farm on 28 July as part of the Mayor of London's National Park City Festival. The Community Brain and Citizen Zoo were excited to partner for this event to create a day of adventure and exploration of Tolworth's largest nature reserve; a place hidden from view and unknown to many local residents.

The day featured a combination of nature talks and creative workshops, from Forest School sessions to weaving and mandala making. There were lots of fantastic conversations started and many people were excited by the discovery of a nature reserve they had never been to, or realised was so close to their home/workplace.

"We've lived locally for year and never knew this was here... now that we know that it is, we'll definitely be here more. It's fantastic and so big and there's so many different things to see. The child loves it and we need to leave now and he doesn't want to go. It doesn't feel like you're in the middle of London." - Local resident

As part of the event, we also asked local people for their ideas and thoughts on new wayfinding signage to better promote the nature reserve and other local green assets and this will be used to introduce creative signage around Tolworth.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all the workshop leaders at the event:

- Junior Jammers

- Bill Downey

- Citizen Zoo

- Maria and Forest School

- The Mindful Compass

- Helen's Fabulous Faces

- Debbie Chessell
