A Loving Homage

As part of our Heritage Lottery Funded project focusing on the history of allotments in Tolworth and Surbiton, students from Kingston University's MA in Architecture have completed their loving recreation of our favourite shed on our Tolworth allotment site. In years gone by it used to be the highest pride to spend no money on building your shed, to make it from scratch from found and acquired items. This meant each shed was unique and a piece of art in its own right. The advent of flatpack furniture eventually made it's way to sheds meaning a real loss in unique and beautiful personal creations.
